Choosing bathroom heating
Heat output. Each radiator and towel rail lists its output in BTU. A bathroom loses heat quickly through tiles and windows, so check the output against the size of the room. Chrome rails give out less heat than painted ones of the same size.
Central heating or electric. A towel rail on the central heating only warms up when the heating is on. An electric towel rail, or a heating element added to a plumbed rail, works all year round.
Valves. Radiators and towel rails come without valves. Angled valves suit pipes from the wall and straight valves suit pipes from the floor.
